My client is a Law Firm who support with Commercial and Personal issues and have several firms in Devon. They are currently recruiting for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their New Build Team based in Exeter. This is a permanent role, ideally the firm are seeking full time but part time would be considered.

They are requiring a well organised individual who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be happy to adapt the requirements of the tasks facing you. The busy residential property team in Exeter provides a bespoke conveyancing service across England and Wales tailored to meeting their client’s needs.
The successful candidate will provide professional, proactive support to the team enabling them to remain organised and to work efficiently and effectively. You will be confident in communicating with clients and, under the lawyers’ direction, will be comfortable ensuring that clients have the information they need if the lawyers are engaged elsewhere.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Opening, closing and archiving client files.
  • Using the firm’s IT systems and packages.
  • Proof reading and updating dictated work.
  • Dealing with emailed or telephone client enquires.
  • Document production.
  • Assisting lawyers generally with administrative responsibilities.
  • Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your problem-solving skills and how you have used these in your previous positions, willingness to work as part of a team with the aim of achieving a common goal would be beneficial.
