Child Care Workers (Full & Part time hours)

Description:

My client a renowned and well respected group, help improve the lives & prospects of all the young adults and children in their care.
The offer all the day to day complex needs these young people require.

They are looking to increase their staffing to bring on board new team members who can carry out these skills with empathy, along with professional integrity. Being able to support all the children and young adults every day needs.
You will cover 3 homes in the Brighton & Hove district.

These positions are full or part time (40 hours or 24 hours)

The shift patterns are

  • Early shift - 07.30 am - 15.30 pm
  • Late shift - 14.30 pm - 22.30 pm

You will also be required to "sleep in" - this will be at least once a week for full time staff.
My client is happy to speak to candidates who do not have any experience in this field, but who are passionate about making a difference.

Staring salaries are as follows:

  • £17,378.00 [£8.35 per hour] (no prior experience and becomes TC1 after probation)
  • £17,771.00 [£8.54 per hour] (some prior experience and becomes TC2 after probation)
  • £18,182.00 [£8.74 per hour] (regular prior experience and becomes TC3 after probation)

  • A good knowledge and a working understanding of good child-care practice and healthy child development
  • Insight into the needs of children and young people living in the care system
  • Experience of encouraging children & young people to develop their full potential
  • Have good written and verbal communications skills, and be able to record information objectively and with clarity
  • Understand the requirements of OFSTED and other regulatory bodies

Other attributes include: -

  • A full driving licence (due to the location of the establishments)
  • Have a understanding of cost awareness and efficiency
  • And, a reasonable understanding and awareness of current child-care legislation
  • Amongst other attributes.
